Adam Wainwright tossed a complete game and Freddie Freeman slammed a homerun
and had 3 RBI as the MUDVILLE NINE outscored the WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 11

Freeman was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense.  He clubbed a solo home run in the 3rd inning and
tripled which was good for two runs in the 7th inning.  MUDVILLE banged out
12 hits on the night.  
 
Wainwright(6-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. The loss
was charged to Ross Ohlendorf(2-4).  He allowed MUDVILLE 4 runs in 3 innings
of work.  
 
For MUDVILLE the victory was a welcome one, indeed.  They had been struggling
in their last ten games with a disappointing 1-9 record.  Still in a bad
slump, with this loss, WISCONSIN is 0-10 lately and 9-29 on the year.
