Brett Myers took a no-hitter into the 7th inning at Minute Maid Park where the
WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS beat the BROOKLYN DODGERS 5 to 3.
 
Myers(1-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for WISCONSIN.  He allowed
4 hits and no walks in 7 innings.  The right-handed Myers lost a no-hitter
when Adam Kennedy doubled with nobody out in the 7th inning.  BROOKLYN
threatened in the 9th but WISCONSIN was able to put down the rally.
 
Francisco Cordero recorded the save, his 1st.  The losing pitcher was John
Lannan(0-1).  'We won because we did the little things right.' MIKE SWANSON
said after the game.  'This is why we practice things over and over and over,
so when we get in close games we don't make mistakes.'
