Jason Vargas went 8 solid innings and left fielder Rusty Ryal had 3 base hits
as the WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS defeated the SPOKANE INDIANS by the score of
3 to 2 at Minute Maid Park.
 
WISCONSIN took the lead for good in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring one
runner utilizing 3 base hits.  Andrew Bailey was great in relief and recorded
his 21st save.  
 
Vargas(7-6) allowed 2 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Matt
Garza(3-14) was the loser.  With this win, WISCONSIN has a 49-63 record.
They have been 5-5 lately.  Not able to get much going in recent weeks,
SPOKANE is 1-9 of late and now has an overall record of 32-77, worst in the
division.
