Mark Reynolds blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the AUBURN DOUBLEDAYS topped
the WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS by a score of 8 to 6 at Minute Maid
Park.
 
AUBURN came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs
using 3 hits.  Hunter Pence led off and started the rally when he lined a
base-hit.  Trevor Crowe followed and he laced a base-knock.  Crowe took
second on the throw.  Crowe proceeded to steal third base.  Reynolds followed
next and he clubbed a two-run home run.  Colby Rasmus was a strikeout victim,
unable to help out.  This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town
fans, as the lead kept changing - 6 times in all.  
 
The win went to Jason Berken(3-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Octavio Dotel recorded the save, his 20th.  Kevin Jepsen(1-1) was the loser
in relief.  He gave up 4 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
