Chris Archer struck out 11 batters and third baseman Trevor Plouffe smacked 2
homeruns and had 3 RBI as the LEXINGTON LEGENDS destroyed the WISCONSIN
TIMBER RATTLERS by a score of 15 to 5 at Minute Maid Park.

Plouffe enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He cleared the fences for a
two-run home run in the 1st inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 4th inning,
singled in the 5th inning and stroked a base-hit in the 9th inning.
LEXINGTON bats were very productive in the 5th inning when they had 4 runs on
4 hits. The LEXINGTON offense smacked the WISCONSIN pitching staff around,
scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

Archer(1-0) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory. Jonathan
Sanchez(0-1) was hit with the loss. He was touched for 5 homeruns in his 4
and 2/3 innings of work.

Archer was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty
confident in my pitches tonight. But, I had great support behind me and I
just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
