WEB GEMS- Top 7th: Carlos Pena robbed Martin Prado of a base hit.

Edinson Volquez tossed a complete game and Denard Span had 2 base hits and 2
RBI as the RICHMOND FLYING SQUIRREL topped the WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS by a
score of 6 to 5 at Minute Maid Park.

RICHMOND scored 5 runs in the 7th inning when they had 5 base hits. The
highlight belonged to Hector Sanchez who disappointed the partisan crowd when
he slapped a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Even though they
scored in 5 different innings, WISCONSIN was not able to pull off the win.

The win went to Volquez(1-1) who allowed 5 runs in the game. Jonathan
Sanchez(0-2) ended up with the loss. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance
to win.' said Volquez, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the
game, and that's all that matters.'
