Ryan Church hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI and Brett Myers racked up an
impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS defeated
the LEXINGTON LEGENDS by a score of 4 to 3 at Minute Maid Park.
 
Myers(8-13) looked very much in control throughout the night.  He allowed just
7 hits and no walks in 9 innings.  Both teams' bats went to sleep after the
3rd inning with no runs scored after that point.  
 
Tim Dillard(1-1) ended up with the loss in relief.  His ERA increased from
5.00 to 5.97 as he allowed 4 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.  
 
When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Myers offered, 'The fan's
really got into it.  It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up
there in the stands.  Fortunately, I kept them busy tonight - of course, it
would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
