Left fielder Eric Young Jr had 2 base hits as the ALTOONA CURVE defeated the
WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS by a score of 3 to 1 at Minute Maid Park.
 
ALTOONA jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run
on 2 hits.  Young Jr laced a one-base hit.  Ryan Dempster then picked Young
Jr off first base.  Daniel Descalso then reached on an error.  Descalso took
second on a stolen base.  ALTOONA continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base.  Norichika Aoki joined his teammates in the uprising and
would hit into a fielders choice.  Daniel Nava next to the plate and he hit a
single.  Nick Hundley then drew a walk to load the bases.  Alex Presley
followed and he grounded into a double play.  ALTOONA managed only 5 hits on
the night.  
 
The victory was credited to Jhoulys Chacin(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 1
run. Brett Cecil got the save, his 1st.  Dempster(0-1) was the loser.
